PACE / Police Interviews

With an excellent working knowledge of PACE, specifically codes E and F, Transcription Global can offer a secure and reliable dictation service in relation to police station interviews, civil and criminal law, local authority investigations and fraud, including benefit investigations and inquest proceedings. Disciplinary and tribunal hearings are also transcribed within this area. Transcription Global employs audio transcriptionists / typists with experience of transcribing criminal and civil interviews in particular around PACE. Interviews are transcribed in verbatim, including any audible actions such as sighing or crying, providing a full evidential account of what has taken place within the interview.

Clients are able to upload audio files within seconds, reducing costs by cutting out transit time, not to mention office space and additional staffing costs. Transcription Global are also able to translate digital audio files from any world language into written document format.

Recent amendments to PACE have allowed for the digital recording of police station interviews. Transcription Global are able to undertake digital transcription as well as video recorded ABE interviews in relation to vulnerable or child witness evidence. ROTI or Contemporaneous templates, MG15's, can be used if required and time stamped accordingly. These documents are then securely sent back to the officer, case worker or legal practice for signing. Specific confidentiality agreements can be agreed with individual constabularies, legal practices or local authorities.

Our bespoke workflow system provides great emphasis on budget, in particular around departmental spending and controls. We listen to our clients’ concerns and have developed a system which allows for full reporting functions, from specific department spends in any given time period to the number of minutes submitted by each user. Providing comparison analysis tools to departmental heads, financial executives can then - at the click of button - know exactly where any one department is at in terms of volumes of work completed and money spent. Under or overuse can then be addressed.
